Check out the link above. It talks about Renters being more optimistic about buying. Renters are paying more than homeowners these days. Many people are coming to me this spring and are asking what they need to do first. Searching for homes online is fun, but finding out what you are qualified to purchase should be your first step. Once you know what you are able to purchase and what your monthly payments will look like - then you will want to sit down with me and we'll talk about what you are looking for. Looking at homes and kicking the tires is fun, and it is definitely part of the process. Getting your ducks in a row first is most important and leads to a better home buying experience. If including additional members of the family is part of your home buying process, we will need to get them involved from day one. Financing first and then touring all the homes we look at. It is possible that members of your family haven't shopped for a home in years and so they will need to see several homes that are in the same price range to get a feel for what the market looks like at various price ranges.
